The Italian company has released the first image of its “supercar of the future”.
Lamborghini announced the premiere of the perfect new prototype on November 6 at the EmTech conference in Cambridge. There will be presented a concept, developed in conjunction with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The company published a teaser in the official tweet.
The manufacturer still keeps all the details in secret, but it became known earlier that Lamborghini is working on the next generation Huracan, which will become a plug-in hybrid. Italians are collaborating with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the development of new composite materials, alternative energy sources and high-capacity batteries.
It is assumed that the hybrid supercar brand will be released in 2022 and will receive solid-state batteries. In addition, the hybrid version is expected to receive also crossover Lamborghini Urus, though not immediately. At first the model will be available with a bi-turbo 8-cylinder.
Earlier it also became known that Lamborghini will release a completely new four-doors model. Its appearance is scheduled for 2021.
