A new version of the Kia Ceed third generation will receive a charged modification with a supercharged engine of about 200 horsepower
The company Kia began road tests of a new modification of the Ceed third-generation model – with the body type Shooting Brake. Spy photos of the test prototype have been published by Auto Express.
Such a car was announced in September 2017, when Kia introduced the concept car Proceed at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Previously, this name was used on a three-door version of the model, which the company decided to abandon after a change of generation.
According to preliminary data, the top version of Kia Proceed will be equipped with a 1.6-liter supercharged gasoline engine developing about 200 horsepower. In addition, the novelty will have versions with standard gasoline and diesel engines.
Earlier details became known about the Kia Ceed hatchback of the third generation for the Russian market. As before, the engine line will include a 100-hp atmospheric four-cylinder engine with working capacity of 1.4 liters, working in tandem with a six-speed manual gearbox. In addition, a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with a power output of 129 hp will be available, which is combined with both manual and automatic transmission.
Finally, a new 1.4-liter turbo engine will be available, delivering 140 hp. and 242 Nm of torque. Such an engine is only aggregated with a seven-stage robotic transmission with two clutches. Exact terms of appearance, bundling and prices will be announced later.
