Kia introduced the concept of the electric crossover HabaniroApril 18, 2019
The Kia Habaniro concept is presented at the New York Auto Show as a vision of a compact electric crossover brand that “can easily fit into the life of any person.” The electric novelty received two electric motors, as well as a power reserve of more than 429 km.
Representatives of the South Korean company say that the serial version of the concept can be presented – “some will assume that the concept of Habaniro will never be built, but we do not advise you to think so!”.
Habaniro has electric motors on the front and rear axles to provide all-wheel drive for the crossover.
The company does not provide any more details about the power plant, except that thanks to modern batteries, the range of over 429 km is provided.
The concept of the crossover has a modern look. W-shaped LED strip covers the front of the car. Two-tone design is achieved through a combination of Satin Metallic Granite Gray grille and Snowdrift Pearl White hood. There is one more color in the concept profile. Instead of side mirrors, cameras are installed facing backwards, thanks to them the very smooth side surface of the car is preserved. Thanks to 20-inch wheels and short overhangs, the model can even show itself well on the roads.
While at first glance the Habaniro electric crossover looks like a three-door car, there is actually another door. The cabin has a special Lava Red theme, and the head-mounted display covers the entire width of the windshield. The driver has at his disposal a touch-sensitive instrument panel to control everything he can. The autonomous system, if necessary, can take control, in this case, the steering wheel is shifted.
