The Kia company revealed a compact crossover called SP. The premiere of the novelty took place at the motor show in New Delhi. In the future, the prototype will definitely receive a serial version. According to the chief designer of the South Korean brand Peter Schreier, the exterior of the car will be as close as possible to the concept. Whether there will be a novelty on sale in other markets, except India, is still unknown.
The crossover Kia will receive a completely new optics, which had not been introduced before on any Kia model. Also the prototype is equipped with a proprietary radiator grille “Nose Tiger”, hidden door handles, and also two-color light alloy wheels.
The model will be manufactured at the new Kia plant in India, which invested 1.1 billion dollars. In total, at an automobile exhibition in New Delhi, the company plans to show 16 models.
Also, Kia is developing the largest crossover in its lineup, which will replace the Mohave model. According to preliminary data, the novelty will become a serial embodiment of the prototype Telluride. The machine will be built on an elongated Sorento platform. The novelty will be offered with both front and all-wheel drive. It is possible that Kia Telluride will borrow from the concept car hybrid power plant, which includes a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter petrol V6, and an electric motor with a capacity of 130 horsepower.
