Journalists caught the updated crossover Cadillac XT5May 17, 2019
The new party of “spy” images shows the updated American crossover Cadillac XT5 without any camouflage, and both outside and inside. All changes do not look significant, but with them the car began to look more pleasant.
Outside, the revised XT5 has a slight change in the front end. Instead of the crossbar, the center of the false radiator grille now has a mesh pattern. The lower part of the front bumper received a “metal” strip. The “metallic” rear bumper trim now surrounds the exhaust manifolds.
Salon new looks the same, but the biggest change has affected the center console. There are now buttons to control the infotainment system. When enlarging images, you can see the buttons for quick access to music, calls and switching to the home screen.
The XT5 crossover currently comes exclusively with a 3.6-liter engine producing 310 horsepower (373 Nm). The eight-speed automatic system transmits torque either to the front wheels or to all four at once.
According to rumors, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will also be offered. The novelty will also be available in the so-called “soft hybrid” version; a 9-step “automatic” will act as a transmission.
Although this is not noticeable on this car, the updated XT5 can also get the semi-autonomous driving technology of the Super Cruise from Cadillac. Representatives of the company say that this complex will be offered in most Cadillac models. It will definitely be on the equipment list of the flagship CT6 sedan, the start of sales of which is scheduled for 2020.
