The American novelty will be presented in 2020 and will be positioned as an SUV 2021 model year. The car will be built on the basis of the platform T1XX, and in its motor range will be both conventional engines and hybrid installation.

We know for sure that the guys from Cadillac are working on a new generation of the Escalade SUV. In December last year, we saw a prototype model that was tested in the wild, but it was still heavily disguised, because of which it was impossible to see the new product in all its details. Until now, it was believed that the updated full-size SUV will debut as the car 2020 model year, but new data indicate that the car will receive the status of new items in 2021 model year.

CadillacSociety says there is no chance that this car will be shown in the next six to eight months, quoting “sources familiar with future plans for Cadillac products,” speaking “based on anonymity.”

Similar information is also published by another authoritative foreign edition of GM Authority, which adds that “all the next generation GM off-road vehicles will not be shown until 2021.”

ll this means that, in essence, Escalade, along with Chevrolet Tahoe / Suburban and GMC Yukon / Yukon XL, will receive only minor changes in the very near future. Escalade, like the rest of GM’s large SUVs (Cadillac is also a part of the group), will be built on the T1XX frame platform and can get an exclusive engine, which can be a 4.2-liter Black Turbine V8 Twin Turbo family, but so far the manufacturer not confirmed. A hybrid version of a large American SUV will also be offered.
