The Italian body studio Umberto Palermo Design has released a concept car that gives an idea of how the next-generation Alfa Romeo 4C sports car could look. At the same time, recently representatives of the Alfa stated that the company is not going to release the successor of the current coupe.
The novelty, built on the basis of 4C of the current generation, was called Alfa Romeo Mole Construction Artisan 001. From its platform donor the car is distinguished by a more aggressive body design with modified optics and other aerodynamic body kit.
In the interior, executed in black and orange colors, I used natural leather and carbon. Sportcar received a completely digital instrument panel, but remained without a display of information and entertainment complex.
Data on the technical component are kept secret. According to preliminary data, Alfa Romeo Mole Construction Artisan 001 received the same 1.75-liter turbocharged four, which produces 240 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The standard Alfa Romeo 4C can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds, and its maximum speed is 257 km per hour.
Previously, representatives of Alfa Romeo at a meeting of shareholders of the concern Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said that the company’s plans do not include the development of a new 4C. At the same time, by 2022 the Italians intend to revive the famous 8C and GTV models, which will be offered in the form of sparks with 600- and 700-horsepower engines. In addition, the automaker intends to replenish its lineup with two crossovers.
