Some say that the future for cars is purely electric, while others believe that hydrogen is the best solution for green transport. The South Korean brand Hyundai can offer both types of environmentally friendly vehicles.

Today we will talk about the compact Hyundai Nexo, which uses hydrogen as fuel. This is a front-wheel drive crossover that runs on fuel cells, and it emits only water vapor when driving.

Nexo uses a power plant capacity of 161 hp. (394 Nm of torque), thanks to which the crossover can accelerate to the first hundred in an acceptable 9.5 seconds. According to the guys from Hyundai, on a filled tank you can drive up to 612 km.

With an initial price in California of $ 58,300, the Nexo crossover is hardly affordable. This price is more than the “base” of the full-size Audi Q7 crossover. Of course, Q7 does not work on hydrogen, but it is more and has a full drive system. Take into account the fact that refueling Nexo costs about $ 80 or 5,285 rubles! Think about it yourself, but do you need a car that consumes less fuel per 100 km, which is certainly environmentally friendly, but which will eat up a wild amount of money for refueling. The car is equipped with three tanks of 52.2 liters each (as a result, 156.6 liters).

Nevertheless, the Nexo has some obvious advantages, such as the fact that it behaves like an electric car that runs silently – and, according to the guys from Consumer Reports, offers a comfortable ride and quite responsive handling. Yes, and a list of equipment in a good crossover.
