The Korean brand Hyundai motors disclosed new data on the crossover of the fourth generation.
In South Korea, orders for the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe will begin to be accepted on Wednesday, February 7. While the manufacturer has distributed two official images of the model, including the first photo of the interior.
The exterior of the SUV is made in a new brand style of the brand, in particular, Santa Fe received a cascade grille and two-tier LED head optics, like the compact SUV Kona. The dimensions of the fourth Santa Fe are not disclosed. The length of the Korean version of the previous generation model is 4,700 mm, width – 1,880 mm, height – 1,680 mm, wheelbase – 2,700 mm.
The interior of SUV is completely redesigned: a new front panel, a center console and a steering wheel, a multimedia system with a “floating” touch screen and voice control (developed in conjunction with Kakao). Plus, there was a function for recognizing music playing in the car (activated by the button on the steering wheel). In addition, as noted in Hyundai, for Santa Fe, the option “Voice memo” is provided (for example, you can say the phone number aloud and the computer will record it) and the ability to control some functions via a smartphone (start the engine, check the fuel level, etc.). ).
In the home market, the crossover will be available with a gasoline turbo engine 2.0 and turbodiesel 2.0 and 2.2, transmission – eight-speed automatic transmission. The characteristics of the engines in the company are not disclosed, it is possible that the details will appear tomorrow. Apparently, the engines got a novelty from the predecessor: the third Santa Fe in Korea is presented with a 240-horsepower petrol engine 2.0T GDi, diesels 2.0 e-VGT and 2.2 e-VGT with a return of 186 and 202 hp respectively.
The new Santa Fe was the first of the Hyundai models under the brand name Hyundai to receive the electronic all-wheel drive system HTRAC – this system is equipped with premium Genesis cars belonging to Hyundai.
The list of equipment new Hyundai Santa Fe can include: systems to prevent frontal collision, warning of leaving the occupied lane, automatic switching of headlights, warning of lateral traffic from the rear (with the function of automatic braking). Also, the cross got a system of recognition of the presence of rear passengers (Rear Occupant Alert), which warns them about the driver when he gets out of the car.
In Korea, the price of the new Hyundai Santa Fe starts from a mark of 28,150,000 won.
It is expected that the global version of the new generation crossover will debut at the Geneva Motor Show, which will open in March.
