Company Porsche has presented recharged Cayenne E-Hybrid new generation. Contrary to expectations, the cross has not received bi-turbo six 2.9 from 4 liftbek Panamera E-Hybrid with built-in automatic the PDK motor: in the installation of all-wheel drive off-road vehicle includes turbo V6 3.0 340 hp (Equipped with the same standard and Cayenne), 136-hp motor and eight-speed automatic transmission Tiptronic S. However, in a hybrid battery SUV – such same as the Panamera (capacity 14.1 kWh, located under the boot floor), and and the crossover’s total output and maximum torque are the same as the five-door: 462 hp and 700 Nm.
From the place to the “hundred” Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid accelerates in 5 seconds, the maximum speed – 253 km / h. The passport fuel consumption is 3.2 – 3.4 l / 100 km (according to the NEDC cycle, depending on the tires). Only on electropower the crossover can pass up to 44 kilometers, in this mode the maximum speed – 135 km / h. For comparison, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid accelerate first 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, the maximum speed liftback – 278 km / h, the fuel consumption – 2.5 l / 100 km, and power reserve – 50 km. Hybrid previous generation Cayenne – S E-Hybrid – equipped with a strong 333-turbo V6 3.0, 95-horsepower electric motor and a battery capacity of 10.8 kWh. The overall impact of this model – 416 hp, a crossover accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds, top speed – 243 km / h (on electric – 125 km / h), range – up to 38 km.
The charging of the new hybrid Cayenne from the household electricity network will take 7.8 hours, from the “fast” terminal – 2.3 hours. The charging process can be controlled through a mobile application.
Like the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, the Cayenne E-Hybrid always starts in the electric E-Power mode, the gasoline engine starts only as needed. In the Sport and Sport Plus modes, the V6 engine runs continuously. In the first case, charging of the battery is maintained at the minimum necessary level in order to provide sufficient reserves to support the ICE. In Sport Plus mode, the cross develops the maximum speed, and its battery is charged as quickly as possible. Note, the control program for the hybrid crossover and liftback is almost the same as the Hypercar Porsche 918 Spyder.
Externally from the standard crossover, the hybrid differs only in the color of the brake calipers (they are in the Cayenne E-Hybrid – bright green). In the salon of the new version – an upgraded multimedia system that displays data on a hybrid installation. Plus for all Cayenne modifications, new 22-inch wheels, improved adaptive cruise control and a color projection display are now available.
In Germany, the price of the Cayenne E-Hybrid starts from the level of 89,822 euros. In Europe, sales of hybrid SUV will begin in May.
