The Swedish architectural bureau Bornstein & Lyckefors has developed the design of the headquarters of the company Polestar. A special feature of the building, made in the form of a white cube, will be the whole glass facade, allowing up to 60 percent of sunlight.
The new headquarters of the brand is a three-level construction with a total area of 3800 square meters. A total of about 200 employees will work there. Inside it there will also be a show-room. Locally Polestar headquarters will be located in the same place as the headquarters of Volvo – in the city of Gothenburg.
In addition to the head office, Polestar is building its first plant in Chengdu, China. He will start work in 2019.
The first model of an independent brand will be a hybrid coupe Polestar 1. The machine, built on the modular SPA platform of Volvo, is for the first time in the world equipped with an active suspension CESi, developed by Öhlins. The 600-strong powertrain of the coupe includes a two-liter petrol “turbo-quater” and a pair of electric motors.
