Harley-Davidson introduced the LiveWire EV electric bike with a price tag of $29,799January 8, 2019
In fact, the price starts from $ 29,799. The public debut will take place at CES-2019.
Harley dealers in the United States can already order a LiveWire electric motorcycle, with an initial end user price tag of $ 29,799. Deliveries will begin in the spring, but so far only for the US market. This was stated by the CEO of Harley-Davidson Matt Levatich, separately adding – “We are at a historical stage of development of motorcycles, and Harley-Davidson is at the very front.”
“Innovations that move the body and soul have always been at the heart of our brand, and this next chapter in our story about creating products and opportunities for existing and beginning bikers of all ages and levels of society.” – says Matt.
The basis of the electric motorcycle will be two batteries, one used for the engine, and the other for lighting technology and other electronics. Power reserve will be about 180 km at full charge, and LiveWire EV supports fast charging system.
Motor power is not reported yet, but acceleration to the “first” hundred takes only 3.5 seconds.
Meanwhile, Suzuki will no longer produce the GSX-R750 motorcycle. The rather tough environmental rules that are already in force in Europe are to blame for everything; they have not yet reached some countries.
