The legendary designer and part-time “father” of the legendary McLaren F1 sports car – Gordon Murray plans to release a successor to the cult hypercar.

The designer is currently actively working to create a model that will become his full-fledged and equally successful successor. It is expected that the new ultralight hypercar will be called T.50.

The future novelty, according to Murray, should make a serious competition to two well-known models: Aston Martin Valkyrie, as well as Mercedes-AMG One. The release of the new models will take the same company – Gordon Murray Automotive.

Circulation, as usual, will be limited and will be only one hundred copies. The cost of T.50 should be 2,500,000 British pounds, and the release date is scheduled for 2022.

At the moment there is some information regarding the parameters of the future successor to the McLaren F1. The weight of the novelty will have to be less than one ton – 980 kilograms, while the length of the T.80 will be less than that of the Porsche 911, but more than the McLaren F1.

As it became known earlier, Ferrari introduced a new hybrid hypercar SF90 Stradale. Sales of new items will start in 2020.
