Concern Ford is not presented any teaser, showing a few days before the premiere of his most compact hot hatch Fiesta ST new generation. The most serious changes in design occurred in the engine compartment.
The new Ford Fiesta ST has received a three-cylinder turbo engine capacity of 1.5 liter EcoBoost family. It develops 197 hp and 290 Nm of torque. The previous version of Hot Hatch with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine in European specifications provided 180 hp, while the US issued a Ford Fiesta ST with the same power – 197 hp However, the new engine provides compared to its advantage in torque by 16 Nm. In Ford say that the world’s first three-cylinder motor provided a deactivation system of cylinders: at low loads, it can only run on two cylinders, and if necessary a third acceleration connects in 14 milliseconds. However, data on the fuel consumption of the new Fiesta ST not yet.
But we know that the first time the driver of a charged Fiesta got a choice of three modes of movement – Normal, Sport and Track. Depending on the chosen mode of electronics change your engine, steering, stabilizing systems and exhaust sound.
