On the European market comes the “exported” five-seat wen Ford. The model refreshed the exterior design.
The new version of C-Max was named Sport. From the standard model, this version features a radiator grille with a honeycomb pattern and a body color painted in the color of the body. The roof and hulls of the exterior mirrors of the “sportsman” are made in black, and the salon was designed in dark colors. Also, C-Max Sport received 17-inch disks of a new design (for a surcharge are available 18-inch), on the luggage door – an enlarged spoiler.
The list of equipment new items include: seats with advanced lateral support, the engine start button, heated side mirrors, rain and light sensors, parking sensors, multimedia system Sync 3 with a touchscreen, a system for contactless opening of the trunk.
Motors are the same as the normal model. In Europe, the Ford C-Max is offered with a petrol turbo 1.0 EcoBoost (100 or 125 hp, with the option of deactivating one cylinder at low loads) and 1.5 EcoBoost (150 hp), 1.5 TDCi (95 or 120 diesels hp) and 2.0 TDCi (150 hp). The basic engine is combined with a six-speed manual transmission, for the other engines there is also an automatic transmission.
European dealers already take orders for C-Max Sport. In the Netherlands, for example, the novelty costs from 30 620 euros. The price of the standard C-Max in this country starts at a mark of 24,195 euros.
In Europe, the sales of the compact Renault are falling. So, in 2017 in Europe, 68 019 C-Max and Grand C-Max (seven-seat version) were sold, which is 16.8% less than a year ago. For comparison, the compacts Citroen C4 Picasso / Grand C4 Picasso in 2017, dispersed in Europe in a run of 99,254 copies (-6.6%), while sales of Renault Scenic / Grand Scenic last year amounted to 106,415 units (+34, 2%).
By the way, a year ago the “exported” version appeared in the minivan Ford S-Max.
