Ford Focus is a bestseller of the American concern in the European market, and now the company is preparing a new modification – the cross-wagon. And it’s strange that the company did not release such a model before. Unfortunately, the official debut date has not yet been called, but judging by the readiness of the test prototype, it will pass in the near future.
While the model is not officially presented, we have the opportunity to look at the first spy photos with virtually no camouflage. Ford Focus Active Wagon differs from the standard version of the “off-road” body kit with new bumpers, thresholds, expander arches and some decorative changes. Of course, the model also differs slightly increased clearance (about 3 cm).
Unfortunately photos of the salon were not able to be made to the photo spy. But with a high probability, it will be identical to the cross-version of the hatchback Focus Active. That is, the car will become more practical with simple but hardy interior trim materials.
In the technical plan of changes is not expected, and the model will receive a new generation of motor line. Thus, under the hood, it will be possible to detect EcoBoost motors with a working volume of 1.0 and 1.5 liters. The junior engine has modifications with a maximum power of up to 85, 100 and 125 horsepower. The senior unit is able to develop up to 150 and 182 hp, depending on the modification. The line of diesel engines consists of 1,5- (95 and 120 hp) and 2,0-liter motors (150 hp).
Coupled with all the engines can be installed a manual transmission for six steps, or an automatic gearbox for eight steps.
In the list of regular and additional equipment Ford Focus Active Wagon you can see the branded multimedia navigation system with a large touch screen, which will transfer part of the control functions of the car. Also, the model will be equipped with a whole range of active and passive safety systems.
Unfortunately the date of the beginning of sales and the cost has not been disclosed. Whether this modification will appear in Russia is still unknown, but it is expected that it will be to the liking of domestic consumers.
Meanwhile, Ford opened the veil of secrecy by publishing a teaser of one of the most anticipated electriccrossers, which received the historic name Mach 1.
