27 years old sports car stood in the garage with a special microclimate

At the online auction site, eBay sells the first-generation Dodge Viper, which has been stored for 27 years in a garage with a special microclimate. The 1992 sports car’s mileage is only 54 kilometers. For the car although bail out 99 885 dollars.

Under the hood, Viper is installed 8.0-liter atmospheric V10, developed in conjunction with Lamborghini based on the Chrysler “eight” family of LA. The engine produces 406 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. From place to 100 km/h rear-wheel drive sports car accelerates in 4.7 seconds. Its maximum speed is 260 kilometers per hour.

Designed as an ultimate sports car, the Viper was initially deprived of external door handles and air conditioning (it appeared later as an option). The roof of the double door was made of tarpaulin, and the glass was made of vinyl. Later versions of the first generation cars were completed with a rigid fiberglass roof, and among the options appeared an adjustable sports suspension.

Viper production ended on the fifth generation. The last copy of the sports car came off the assembly line in August 2017, as the model could not be adapted to the new safety requirements, requiring to equip all cars with side curtains.
