Most likely, in the product line of the budget Romanian brand will be another crossover.
This year, the Romanian Dacia celebrates its 50th anniversary. In honor of this event, the manufacturer published a photo compilation with its achievements and most significant events. Let’s remind, in 1999 the Romanian company has passed under the control of Renault which has adjusted release of accessible models for a number of the markets under mark Dacia. The last photo in the photo-timeline shows a mysterious model, the body of which is completely covered with a canvas.
Perhaps the new Dacia will be a crossover Renault, the release of which will be established at the Russian brand plant in Moscow, there already, by the way, is preparing capacity. The public premiere of the C-Class SUV is planned for August of this year within the framework of the Moscow Motor Show. The manufacturer has not yet reported the name of the crossover and technical details, noting only that the model will be global and Russia will be the first market on which it will go on sale.
There are rumors that the SUV built on the modernized B0 platform will have a coupe-like silhouette. Renault plans to sell it, in addition to our country, in Brazil, China and South Korea, and for the latter, perhaps, the car will be transferred to an advanced platform.
Probably, Renault is not going to retreat from its strategy and release a new crossover under the Dacia brand in those markets where the Logan, Sandero and Duster models are sold under the Romanian brand.
