Corvette ZR1 from atelier Hennessey shows impressive possibilities on the dynoJuly 7, 2019
The guys from the studio Hennessey strongly modernized powerplant sports coupe Corvette ZR1. As a result, the car boasts a power of 1200 hp.
Tuning atelier Hennessey from Texas (USA), the creator of the fastest road (you can move on public roads) car in the world Venom GT, whose maximum speed is 434.52 km / h, presented a farewell version for the current generation Corvette coupe. I must say that the Chevrolet Corvette of the generation C7 in the powerful performance of the ZR1 is an already very fast car.
The standard version of the ZR1 comes with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine producing 755 horsepower and 969 Nm of torque. This car accelerates to a speed of 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds, and its maximum speed is 341.18 km / h.
However, the largest tuning company in Texas was not satisfied with these figures, so she took it upon herself to present a much higher-end version of this car. And I must say that the studio did it – after installing the HPE 1200 branded modification, the sports coupe received more than 1,000 horsepower. The performance package adds a number of updates to the ZR1, including a completely different supercharger – an analogue of the production of the GM concern, called B.A.S, or Big-Ass Supercharger was chosen.
Other cylinder heads, extension manifolds and middle stainless steel pipes and high flow catalytic converters were also installed. Fully updated exhaust system gives the exhaust of a sports car with supercharged just incredible sound.
As expected, the Hennessey HPE 1200 is not cheap – the price of this performance enhancement package is $ 59,950. The Corvette ZR1 itself costs at least $ 123,000.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the image of the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster hypercar was published. Perhaps a hypercar with a capacity of 1600 horsepower in the back of a roadster may not be the most attractive thing to buy, but the American tuning studio Hennessey “plays” with this idea anyway.
