Chevrolet published a video teaser for the 2020 Corvette C8June 7, 2019
The press service of the American brand Chevrolet has released a “teasing” video about the cult sport model Corvette of the new (eighth) generation. We have already seen this video – this time, the company decided to redo it for, that is, good reasons.
The American car manufacturer released the first teaser for a new generation of its Corvette C8 sports car back in April of this year. But this video consisted of just a few flashing images showing different “corvettes” throughout the entire history of the model.
A couple of minutes ago, the press service of the company published a longer version of the teaser. Here, special attention is paid to various concepts and prototypes of the Corvette with a medium engine, produced since the 1950s.
The mid-engine Corvette story began back in 1959 with CERV I, created by Chevrolet engineer Zahar Arkus-Dante. For decades, the GM concern brand has created a number of different unique mid-engine models, including the stunning 1964 XP 817 and 1976 XP 882 Aerovette. The teaser includes frames with the image of an engineer who actually managed CERV I and CERV II.
And finally, the most important thing, the sports model Chevrolet C8 Corvette with an average location of the engine will be presented on July 18 of this year. It is known that the initial equipment of the novelty will retain the nickname Stingray and can get a modified version of the 6.2-liter V8 LT1 with a power of about 500 hp, combined exclusively with an 8-speed gearbox.
