Cadillac is testing a new generation of the EscaladeJune 8, 2019
According to unnamed sources, in its next generation, a full-size SUV Cadillac Escalade will receive significant technological improvements, including the “huge” screen infotainment system. The car will also receive the Cadillac Super Cruise automatic cruise control system.
Insiders claim that the size of the display of the SUV has become twice as large (now it is 8 inches). Thus, this interior element can be similar to the 15-inch touch panel in the Tesla Model 3 electric sedan, and maybe even the 17-inch monitor in the Model S.
The updated software would allow the multimedia complex to exchange data with a new, more complex digital instrument unit. The infotainment system also reportedly receives a “puck” of control, like other recent Cadillac models.
According to rumors, the new Escalade will be officially introduced in mid-2020 as an SUV 2021 model year.
“Spy” pictures of auto prototypes indicate that the firm “hard”, turned style is still part of the exterior. Camouflage makes it difficult to see the SUV in detail. I note that on tests, standard and elongated versions of the American novelty were noticed.
Changes in the motor range can be quite impressive. The current 6.2-liter V8 engine is supposed to remain the base engine, and more expensive versions of the Cadillac Escalade will receive a hybrid installation. There are even rumors that the 4.2-liter twin-turbo Blackwing V8 engine will be available for this model.
