The company Bugatti has published the first teaser of the new hypercar, which will be called the Divo. The model will be named after the famous French rider Albert Divo, who in the 1920s won the Sicilian Targa Florio twice.
The novelty will be built on the basis of the hypercar Chiron. In this case, Divo will differ from the “Shiron” lightweight design, improved aerodynamic elements and “significantly improved controllability.”
According to preliminary data, the Bugatti Divo will be equipped with the same eight-liter W16 engine with four turbines, developing 1500 horsepower. In this case, as expected, the novelty will be faster than the Chiron, which is able to accelerate to the first 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is forcibly limited to 420 km per hour. To remove the limiter, you need a special key – in this case the claimed maximal speed is 485 km per hour.
The public premiere of the Bugatti Divo will take place on August 24 at the automotive event The Quail in California. The circulation of the new hypercar will be limited to 40 copies, each costing 5.87 million dollars.
