BMW has published the first image of the X7 without camouflage

The official premiere of the big crossover BMW X7 will be held in mid-October this year. The main competitors of the novelty will be the Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7 and Cadillac Escalade

BMW has published a new teaser image of a large X7 crossover. In the picture, which was published in Facebook Bavarian brand, shows the front of the car without camouflage. Judging by the image, the new design will receive in the style of the prototype Concept X7 iPerformance, which was presented at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The car will differ from the younger BMW crossovers (X5 and X6) in the first place in a three-row cabin, which can accommodate six people – two in each row.

As for the cabin, judging by the spy photos, the car will receive a new dashboard in the style of the 8-Series and a large iDrive touchscreen display, similar to the one installed in the 5-Series sedan. Interior trim – leather, wood and alcantara.

The big crossover is built on the modular architecture of CLAR, which debuted on the flagship new-generation 7-Series sedan. With the same model, the X7 will have common diesel and gasoline engines, including the most powerful in the V12 line. Similarly, there will be a hybrid version with a power plant from the X5 xDrive40e with a total return of 313 horsepower. Four-wheel drive transmission – the usual xDrive last generation.

The official premiere of the car will be held in mid-October this year. The car will be assembled at the American BMW plant in South Carolina, where the X3, X4, X5 and X6 are already being produced for local and many export markets.

The main competitors of the novelty will be the Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7 and Cadillac Escalade. Bavarians intend to sell 45 thousand BMW X7. As previously reported, the price of the car can be about 130 thousand euros
