Atelier APR added power supercars Audi R8 V10 and Lamborghini HuracanFebruary 4, 2019
Tuning company APR from Alabama (USA) presented its updated “packages” APR Plus and Stage 1 ECU for the 5.2-liter FSI V10 engine, which was developed by the guys from the VW Group. This engine is equipped with the Audi R8 V10 / V10 Plus / RWS, as well as the Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 / LP610-4. The gain has made 104 hp
Updating the APR Stage 1 ECU was designed to provide more power and torque without sacrificing the car’s handling, while the APR Plus / APR Stage 1 ultimately leads to a reduction in engine life when running on 95th gasoline.
By installing the Stage 1 ECU package for a 5.2-liter V10 engine, the increase in overall performance will be 104 hp. and 86 Nm of torque.
Other improvements include support for braking with the left foot, removing the speed limiter, increased speed limiter to 9000 rpm, fully controlled temperature control, optimization of the throttle, intake and exhaust valves, lambda control. In addition, the ignition time has decreased.
Updating Stage 1 also allows you to switch on-demand ECU programs (up to four modes), which includes a low-speed “valet” mode and a quiet cold start. In addition, it allows the engine to run on gasoline with an octane rating of 95 and 98, as well as ethanol fuel E60-E85.
Unfortunately, not a single performance indicator of the German and Italian supercars was published after the installation of the “power upgrade” package. I think that the additional 100 “horses” make these cars even faster.
