At the Nurburgring captured “charged” hatchback Mercedes-AMG A45May 2, 2019
The high-performance Mercedes-AMG A45 is due to be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year. In anticipation of a big show, automaker engineers continue to test the “hot” novelty at the Nurburgring race track.
Just yesterday, agile foreign journalists published a video with which you can see the long-awaited novelty – the “charged” German hatchback Mercedes-AMG A45.
Mercedes has already confirmed the main details about the power plant “charged” A45. The car is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces 383 horsepower in the basic version of the model and 416 hp. performed by S. Both versions use an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The engineers of the AMG sports division use all-wheel drive for this car – it is reported that, if necessary, 100% of the torque can be transferred to one particular wheel.
Compared to my powerful version of the A35, the A45 will get a Panamericana false grille with many vertical slats. There are also large side sills. The revised rear bumper creates space for double exhaust pipes on each side.
We do not yet have exact data on what will be located in the cabin of the A45, but recent spy shots show that the interior as a whole is very similar to that used for the A35. Differences may lie in the different finishes and possibly stiffer seats.
